Environmental Surety
The combination of standard surety underwriting and existing environmental expertise within Berkley Surety gives us a unique ability to provide surety bonds in the environmental realm. We are able to evaluate the particular exposures and risk mitigating techniques of your environmental contractors’ overall surety programs and individual bond requests.
Due to the increased risk in Design/Build contracts, we take a more cautious approach with contractors accepting this responsibility as part of an environmental project. While we anticipate our environmental construction clients will demonstrate a Net Worth in the range of $1 million, there are exceptions based on the type of environmental projects pursued and based on the portion of their backlog comprised of environmental work.
